Video Editing

My most recent work includes video promos I edited together for Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council. The most recent promo was for the Fall Family Camp that is scheduled to take place October 19, 2018. I scheduled time to record each speaker/actor, edited the video in Adobe Premiere Pro, and published the video across the organization’s several social media platforms.

In August of 2017, I also edited together a promo video for the Bear Creek Summer Camp to promote 2018’s camp. I used footage that was previously collected by Angel Martinez. I completed this video within a 10 hour work day and just in time for the Scout Expo. I took over for the then intern.

I completed a couple of video projects in 2012 and 2013. I have video editing experience in Final Cut Pro, Sony VegVisit pageas, iMovie, Windows MovieMaker, Nerovision Express, and Adobe Premiere CC.

Here is the latest professional project I completed. The client, Johnson Controls, needed training sessions recorded with the spotlight effect on one side and the powerpoint presentation on the other side. This required the use of two video cameras, a lavalier microphone, and Sony Vegas 10 with Presto plug-in. The powerpoint slides were recorded with the Sony Handycam and the speaker was recorded with a professional HD camcorder. Here is a sample of one of the videos for portfolio purposes:

Below is a sample of one of the final products. I recorded and edited video interviews for UTHSCSA’s Nursing department. This was recorded on a Sony Handycam and edited in NeroVision Express. The full version is available upon request. I’ve included a short sample for portfolio purposes.

Each video presented after this point was completed using Final Cut Pro

2 15-second promos I did as practice during my internship in 2011 at KSAT. It was an unpaid internship, so they couldn’t use anything I made.

Projects for Multimedia II for Spring 2010

St. Mary’s University senior political science major and president of both Student Government Association and Mexican Student Association, Tania Ramirez, shares the importance of MSA’s participation in the campus’ annual Fiesta Oyster Bake celebration. Each year, the organization sells churros, a popular Mexican pastry in San Antonio to help fund various non-profit activities.

Avery Sanchez (name changed at request), a senior communications arts major at St. Mary’s University, cooks a lot of her meals with easier recipes. However, she doesn’t use eggs or milk for her meals; not even pancakes because she follows a vegan lifestyle.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes

•1 cup of flour
•1 tbsp of sugar
•1/8 tsp of salt
•1 cup of soy milk
•2 tbsp of vegetable oil

Preparation:
Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl until well-mixed.

Mix in the soy milk and oil and beat together until batter is smooth.

Drop 1/4 cup of batter at a time onto a hot oiled griddle, or well-greased frying pan over medium high heat. When bubbles appear on the surface of the pancake, approximately 3 minutes, flip, and cook the other side for another two minutes. ENJOY!
